Traveler
I wrote a short story about a young lady who wanted to leave her village. In this open-ended short story, she wanted to leave this side of the world to get to the other side of the world. The story is very simple but can be read poetically. The message of the video is through dual animation. This represents both sides of the world. The box wants to become something else, while the wanderer is roaming around the captured space through google map.

#1 / Mi Young’s Room
Mi-young, who put all the remaining luggage in the last suitcase, pushes down firmly to close the carrier and place it in front of the entrance. All of Mi-young's luggage are neatly placed in front of the entrance with a few bags and luggage, the small room is empty and quiet. As she quietly sweeps the room with her hand, opens the window, sits in the middle of the room, inhales, falls back, and slowly closes her eyes, someone presses the doorbell hurriedly. Mi-young peeks out the door. Soon, the sound of a strong knocking on the front door resonates in the room, whether the doorbell alone is not enough. After a small sigh, Mi-young goes out to the living room and opens the front door. As soon as the door opens, the villagers come to the front door.
Villager1_ So, you’re already packed?
Villager2_ (Lifting luggage) Oh my... how do you take all this by yourself?
Villager3_ Mi-Young, let's go in first. Let's go in and talk about this.
#2 / Living room / day
Villagers sitting around Mi-young in the living room. The villager1 speaks out first, breaking the quiet atmosphere.
Villager1_ It’s only you who thinks that you have nothing to do here anymore. I can’t understand that you said you’re leaving because there’s nothing for you to do. We all fed, dressed and raised you!
Villager2_ Yes, Mi-young, if you're not here, who’s going to be nagging us to have some food in the morning?
Villager3_ That's right. What about the murals that you painted at the entrance of the village? If it fades, who will paint it now? It would become ugly.
Villager4_ okay. I can't understand either. I tried to understand but I can’t. If you don’t have work to do here we can make things to do here and you can change your mind to stay. Look at us! You know what will happen if you leave us behind!
Villager1_ Also, what do you mean there nothing to do! We don't know how to live without you.
When the camera shoots on Mi-young, Mi-young alone looks out of the balcony with the villagers on her back. The view outside the balcony with a peaceful plain. After the camera rotates, Mi-young's face is shadowed by the backlight when she is looking at the balcony.
Mi-Young_ Please. Now let me go.
As soon as Mi-young finishes speaking, the sound of the front door closing is heard, and three more villagers enter the living room.
Villager5_ Mi-young, I heard the news and closed the hospital because of it. You aren't feeling well right now, so why don't you leave a little more later? Let's take a break and think slowly.
Villager6_ Yes, Mi-young. The timing is so important. If they leave so quickly, what about the people left behind?
Villager7_ Where do you think you're heading to? It’s irresponsible! I don't know how much difficulty you have now, but as the pastor said, there’s a right time for everyone.
Mi-young, get up holding the carrier handle.
Mi-young, slowly opens her mouth as if trying to say something, and takes a breath.
